2011 North American Car of the Year Semi-Finalists Named

Awards often help car shoppers narrow down the list of vehicles they’re considering or be convinced to add or remove a vehicle from their list. The vehicles being considered for the 2011 North American Car of the Year and North American Truck of the Year have been announced.

The awards are chosen by automotive journalists from the United States and Canada who represent magazines, television, radio, newspapers and websites. The vehicles on the list below will be voted on in December, and the car and truck winners will be announced in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

This is the eighteenth year for the awards, which are funded exclusively by the jurors. Last year, the Ford Fusion Hybrid won for North American Car of the Year and the Ford Transit Connect won for North American Truck of the Year.
