2016 Toyota Tacoma Revealed at 2015 Detroit Auto Show

The very hotly anticipated and very overdue redesigned Toyota Tacoma was revealed at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. The new Tacoma, which will be the third to wear the name, isn’t a radical departure from the current styling, which is unsurprising given the Tacoma’s popularity and Toyota’s very conservative approach to new cars.

The new 2016 Tacoma will come with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder or 3.5-liter V6 engine. The V6 will use Toyota’s D-4s injection technology and will have both direct and port duel injection. A six-speed automatic transmission will be standard with a 6-speed manual available on V6 models.

The next Tacoma will have a high-strength steel frame, an ultra high strength steel body, push button start, a power moonroof, a locking tailgate and a standard GoPro video camera mount to record all your adventures (Now none of the neighborhood guys can say they don’t believe you when you say you can get to Costco and back in under 30 minutes).
