If you were considering buying the 2008 Dodge Challenger, you’re out of luck. At a base price of $37,995 for the SRT8, the only place you can get one right now is on eBay, but expect to pay around $60,000 to $65,000 for it.
Chrysler built 6,400 Challengers for its 2008 model year and they’re all gone. Muscle-car enthusiasts snatched these cars up like hot cakes. If you still want a new Dodge Challenger, you’ll have to wait until fall to purchase the 2009 version, which comes in a V-6-powered SE and 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 R/T, as well as the SRT8.
With more Challenger options in the 2009 line-up, you might have a better chance to actually buy one. Or you can just try bidding for one of the 28 2008 models on eBay. Good luck!
