South Park Tackles the Economy, Government, Banks and Auto Industry
South Park, always known for its controversial but hilarious episodes, took on the economy last night.
Stan’s dad tries to teach him the importance of saving money. Then Stan tries to return a Margaritaville margarita maker, but to no avail. South Park residents are interviewed by the local TV station for their opinion on the current economy.
There is a brief section where South Park Automotive workers talk to the news station about losing their jobs. The entire episode, in my opinion, is pretty dead-on and gives viewers a different outlook on the recession. It’s also hilarious, so if you didn’t get a chance to watch it last night, click here to watch the entire episode online.
