Toyota and Scion Inventories Reach Record High
Automotive News reported today that Toyota and Scion inventories are at a record high because the company misjudged the level of decline of the U.S. market. There are about 376,000 units in dealership stock, including vehicles on their way to the dealers. This is about 100,000 more units than were at dealers last summer. Apparently, Toyota produced a lot of trucks and SUV’s that consumers don’t want as much right now.
If you know you want to purchase a Toyota or Scion in the near future, this may be a good time to buy, knowing that the dealers have excess inventory on their hands that they would be more than happy to get rid of.
