The redesigned 2014 Kia Soul will start at $14,700. The base Kia Soul, which is $2,000 less expensive than the Scion xB and Nissan Cube, comes with a 130-hp 1.6-liter engine and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Don’t expect to see many of the sub-$15,000 Kia Soul base models for sale. While it does have a good array of standard features, the base model is not available with any option packages. To get popular option packages, you’ll have to upgrade to the $18,200 Soul Plus, which comes with a 164-hp, 151 lb-ft 2.0-liter engine. Among the packages is a $400 infotainment system with backup camera, which might be the best deal besides the eco package which is also $400 and adds stop-start and low rolling resistance tires. The $1,400 audio package that includes an upgraded stereo, navigation, an eight-inch display and automatic temperature controls. The $3,000 Primo package with heated leather seats, push button start and a panoramic sunroof.
The 2014 Kia Soul Exclaim starts at $20,300 and includes LED running and tail lights, 18-inch wheels, an infotainment system and a backup camera all standard. The Audio package is available for $1,200 on the Kia Soul Exclaim and has been renamed the Sun and Sand Package and the Primo package is just $2,500 now named the Whole Shebang.
