GMC Announces 100th Anniversary Heritage Edition Sierra and Yukon
GMC has announced that in celebration of the company’s 100th anniversary, it will offer a Heritage Edition package for the 2012 Sierra and Yukon models. At the 1912 New York Auto show, the newly formed GMC debuted its first truck ever. Appropriately, the centennial anniversary of the GMC debut will be celebrated at the 2012 New York Auto Show with a new Heritage package.
The 100th anniversary Heritage Editions of the 2012 GMC Sierra, 2012 GMC Yukon and 2012 GMC Yukon XL will feature exterior badges with the original 1912 GMC logo, surrounded by the words Heritage Edition. The 2012 Heritage Edition Sierra and Yukon will have optional unique color options available. Heritage Blue, shown above, will cost $195 extra while White Diamond will cost $995. Black is the default color on Heritage Edition models.
The 2012 GMC Sierra Heritage Edition and 2012 GMC Yukon Heritage Edition will come with embroidered front floor mats and headrests, upper-level option packages (Convenience package on Sierra and SLT-2 on Yukon and Yukon XL. Sierra models will have rear-view camera and 20-inch wheels standard, the Yukon can be ordered with dubs for an extra cost, according to Autoblog.
