Mercedes-Benz Planning Commercial Van Smaller Than Sprinter
The Renntech DJ Booth Mercedes-Benz Metris
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is one of the most versatile commercial vehicles available today. With ten different body styles available, the Sprinter’s upright design has inspired the new commercial vans from Ford, Nissan and Ram. Now the company is expanding its commercial lineup to offer a smaller van called the Mercedes-Benz Metris.
The luxury Mercedes Metris.
The new van, which has been sold around the world since 2003, will initially only be available with one wheelbase in the United States with cargo and passenger versions both available at launch.
To celebrate the launch of the Metris, Mercedes-Benz will be showing off four customized versions at the 2014 SEMA show. The SEMA Metris builds will appeal to a variety of potential customers. A Mercedes will show off a Metris with a DJ booth and a tilt opening roof and tuned by Renntech, a luxury version with high end video and audio, a communications center for emergency personnel, and a golf themed van that has a mobile golf simulation game.
