September’s Best Auto Lease Incentives

Shoppers can save money in September by leasing a vehicle with little or no money due at signing. These sign and drive lease deals don’t require as much money up-front, but they usually mean you’ll have higher monthly lease payments.

If you need a lower monthly lease payment, be prepared to pay a couple to several thousand dollars at signing. Or you can try to negotiate the price of the vehicle down to a figure that will make your payments in your range. Negotiating on a new 2011 vehicle will be harder than on a leftover 2010 model though.

Remember that although the advertised lease rates and incentives are generally only for shoppers with the best credit scores, if your credit score is a little bit lower than required, most times you can still be approved for the lease, just at a higher rate. Most times this means your monthly payments will be higher.

Acura is offering no money due at signing lease deals on all six of its models this month. If you choose this lease option, your monthly payments will be higher, since you won’t be putting any money down. If the higher payments don’t fit your monthly budget, Acura is also offering lower monthly payment leases with about $3,000 to $3,500 due at signing. For example, the Acura TL with no money down is $450 a month. After a $2,999 down payment, the TL is only $369 a month.
