Tanner Foust to Replace Travis Pastrana at Race of Champions
Drifting Champion and all-around fast driver Tanner Foust is being called at the 11th hour to replace an injured Travis Pastrana at Sunday’s "Race of Champions" event in Wembley Stadium in London, England. Pastrana was set to team up with Nascar driver Carl Edwards to represent the U.S. team at the event. Those plans went south when former X-Gmaes gold medalist Pastrana injured his knee and hip doing a stunt in California earlier in the week.
Tanner Foust was the 2007 U.S Formula Drift pro drift champ so you know his driving credentials are legit. He is also the 2007 X Games gold medal winner for the rally event. Tanner will compete alongside Carl Edwards in a variety of races, all of which circulate around the specific cars provided by the event organizers. The race of champions is an invitation-only event so to even be chosen is an honor. Hopefully Mr. Foust and Mr. Edwards can make us proud.
