Top Car Lease Deals in August
Auto lease deals generally come in two varieties. The first is low monthly auto lease payments. These lease incentives are attractive to a lot of car shoppers because they fit well into most consumers’ monthly budgets. To get the payments so low, shoppers will generally have to give several thousand dollars at lease signing, or the manufacturer or dealer will have to discount the car and drop the price to make the payments lower.
The second is a lease where shoppers either don’t have to pay anything at signing, often known as "sign and drive" deals, or have to pay very little to drive the car off the lot. Although these leases don’t require as much money up-front, they usually mean you’ll have higher monthly payments.
One more thing to consider if you’d like to lease a car in August is that although the advertised lease rates and incentives are generally reserved for shoppers with the best credit scores, if your credit score is a little bit lower than required, most times you can still be approved for the lease, just at a higher rate.
Acura is offering leases with no money due at signing on all six of its 2010 vehicles in August. If you choose this route, your monthly lease payments will be higher, since you won’t be putting any money down. If the higher payments don’t fit your monthly budget, Acura is also offering leases with about $3,000 to $3,500 due at signing and lower monthly payments on its entire lineup. For example, the Acura ZDX with no money down is $640 a month. After a $3,500 down payment, the crossover SUV is only $549 a month.
