North American Car/Truck of the Year Finalists Announced
The finalists for the North American Car and Truck of the Year were announced today at an Automotive Press Association luncheon in Detroit. The winners will be announced Jan. 10 during the North American International Auto Show.
The Chevrolet Volt, Hyundai Sonata and Nissan Leaf were named the three finalists for the 2011 North American Car of the Year award. The Dodge Durango, Ford Explorer and Jeep Grand Cherokee are the finalists for the 2011 North American Truck of the Year award.
The vehicles are nominated and voted on by U.S. and Canadian automotive journalists. To be considered for the awards, a vehicle must be all new or substantially changed. Last year’s winners were the Ford Fusion Hybrid and the Ford Transit Connect. Journalists voted on the vehicles listed below.
