2013 Chevy Malibu Price Starts at $23,150

The 2013 Chevy Malibu will start at $23,150.  Autoblog points out that that price will put it near the top of the midsized car section, when compared to the 2012 model year Ford Fusion, Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.  For that price, buyers get a naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, but a turbocharged four is also available.

The base Malibu LS that starts at $23,150 will come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 197-horsepower. A six speed automatic transmission will help the Malibu get an MPG rating in the mid 30’s, GM expects.  A more powerful turbocharged four-cylinder will compete with the Camry and Accord’s V6s and will make 259-horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.  That should be more than enough to make merging onto the highway an easy task.

The top-of-the-line Malibu LTZ will start at $28,590 with the base engine, $770 less than the 2012 model.  A Malibu LTZ with the turbocharged engine will run you $30,925.
