The Dodge Challenger and Charger are impressive performance cars already, with 370-horsepower, 5.7-liter engines, but good enough is never enough, so Dodge has announced performance packages for the LX chassis cars. Called Scat Packs, the new Mopar performance packages are available for current generation Hemi powered Dodge Charger and Challenger.
The Stage 1 Scat Pack for the Dodge Charger and Challenger includes a Mopar cold air intake and cat back exhaust. The Challenger and Charger Stage 2 Scat Pack is a performance camshaft. Stage 3 Scat Packs include a ported and polished cylinder head and exhaust headers. Dodge hasn’t announced whether the Scat Packages will fit the Chrysler 300, but because the Charger and 300 share a platform, most parts should fit both.
The Scat Packs aren’t limited to big Hemi V8 cars though, Dodge is also offering Scat Packs for the Dodge Dart with the 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The Dodge Dart Stage 1 Scat Pack will have a cold air intake, a short shifter, slotted brake rotors and performance brake pads. The Dodge Dart Stage 2 Scat Pack adds a cat back exhaust and an engine retune. Stage 3 Scat Packs for the turbocharged Dodge Dart is 13-inch vented front brake discs and four-piston calipers, an adjustable suspension with new springs and struts and antiroll bars front and rear.
