Gas Prices Drop Slightly for Second Day in a Row

Finally, there’s a break in the dark, gloomy cloud that is high gas prices. For the second day in a row, gas prices nationwide have dropped a bit.

It’s not a huge amount, but enough to lift our spirits and give us hope that prices will only continue to go down.

The average price is now $4.075 a gallon for regular unleaded, according to AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report. This is down from an all-time high of $4.080 on Monday, June 16, reports FoxBusiness.

Diesel’s prices are also down a little, from Monday’s high of $4.797 to the current $4.794 average. A year ago, diesel cost just $2.891 a gallon.

The decrease in gas prices is attributed to the decline in crude oil price, which fell below $134 per barrel in pre-market trading this morning.

Keep your fingers crossed that lower fuel prices are on the way!
