2015 Cadillac ATS-V Will Have 425-HP, 7-Speed Stick Shift
Just Last week Lexus revealed the RC-F, which is ready to take on the BMW M4 (the new name for the M3 Coupe, remember?), the Audi RS5 and the C63 AMG. Now Cadillac is ready to join the fray with its own luxury missile based on the ATS. The 2015 Cadillac ATS-V has been announced and it will have 425-horsepower.
The 2015 Cadillac ATS-V will have a 3.6-liter twin turbocharged V6 Engine with 425-horsepower and the option of a seven-speed, according to Motor Trend. An eight-speed dual clutch transmission will be available on the ATS-V, but not at launch. Cadillac has only officially announced an ATS-V Sedan, but with an ATS Coupe already in the works for the 2015 model year, an ATS-V Coupe shouldn’t be far behind.
The ATS-V will be joined later on by the ATS-V+, which will get a V8 engine. Motor Trend says the ATS-V+ could possibly get the 625-horsepower supercharged LT4 engine from the Chevy Corvette Z06, but it seems more likely for the souped up ATS-V to get a version of the LT1 that debuted in the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The Motor Trend also has a scoop on the new CTS-V, which will get a twin-turbo version LT1 engine that should easily beat the current CTS-V’s 556-horsepower.
