Liam Neeson and Jeremy Piven Drive Seriously Cool Convertibles in Entourage Movie
Liam Neeson will be in the Entourage movie that comes out next year. In one scene, Liam Neeson drives a Bentley continental GT and lines up next to Jeremy Piven’s character Ari Gold in a Ferrari 458 Italia.
The Ferrari 458 Italia is the perfect car for Jeremy Piven’s character Ari Gold. It’s fast, loud, and a very obvious status symbol. Whenever I see someone driving a new Ferrari it reminds me of a scene from Gone In 60 Seconds between the main character Memphis and a Ferrari salesman.
Memphis: “I’ve been in L.A. for three months now. I have money, I have taste. But I’m not on anybody’s "A" list, and Saturday night is the loneliest night for the week for me.”
Roger the Car Salesman: “Well, a Ferrari would certainly change that.”
Memphis: “Perhaps, Mmmm. But, you know, this is the one. Yes, yes yes… I saw three of these parked outside the local Starbucks this morning, which tells me only one thing. There’s too many self-Indulgent wieners in this city with too much bloody money! Now, if I was driving a 1967 275 GTB four-cam…”
Roger the Car Salesman: “You would not be a self-indulgent wiener, sir… You’d be a connoisseur.”
Of course Jeremy Piven isn’t a jerk like his Entourage character, so he doesn’t drive the car of a self indulgent wiener. Instead he drives a restored classic Ford Bronco.
