Lil Wayne is the “Barack Obama of Bugatti”
Lil Wayne’s Bugatti Veyron wasn’t bought for bragging rights. According to the rapper, he bought the car only for himself, not to show it off to the world.
Lil Wayne explained his Veyron purchase by saying “I spent 1.8 million of my hard earned money to buy this car that I had heard about called the Bugatti. I didn’t buy it ‘cause I said man I want to be the first n***** with a Bugatti and I want everyone to know I got a Bugatti, ‘cause if that had been the case I would have taken this man with this camera, my man Derek G, I would have taken him to the car lot with me. ‘Look y’all I’m getting this ‘Gatti.’ I got it cause I said ‘man I heard they got this car that’s a million dollars. I want it.’ So I went out and I bought… This is mine. This is a hard plate. This is mine. I ain’t put this in a video. I ain’t get no special service or ‘no check me in my Bugatti’ I don’t call myself Bugatti Wayne or nothing like that. Ask the people, I was the first African American rapper with a Bugatti. I don’t know who else says they got one. You know what the people at the place called me? The Barack Obama of Bugatti.”
The Bugatti Veyron has a starting price of over a million dollars, which makes it one of the most expensive cars out there. Not just a car for people who want to brag about how much money, the Bugatti Veyron is the fastest street legal production car in the world. It’s top speed is 267-mph. The Veyron has an 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine with four turbochargers good for 1,001-hp on the standard Veyron or 1,200 on the Super Sport model. The Veyron Lil Wayne isn’t just the first rapper to buy a Veyron, he’s one of only 316 who have done so, according to Wikipedia.
