2012 Volvo S60 Named IIHS Top Safety Pick
The 2012 Volvo S60 has been named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The 2012 Volvo S60 earned the top rating of "good" in front, side and rear crash tests, as well as roof strength/rollover tests.
The last generation of the Volvo S60 earned "good" ratings for front and rear crash protection, according to the IIHS. But S60 cars from the 2005 to 2009 model years only earned an "acceptable" rating in the side impact crash test.
To be named a Top Safety Pick, vehicles must earn "good" ratings in all IIHS crash tests and have electronic stability control as a standard feature.
In March, the 2012 Volvo S60 T5 can be leased for $299 a month for 36 months with $2,993 due at lease signing. The 2012 Volvo S60 T5 can also be purchased with 0.9 percent auto loan financing for up to 36 months.
The 2012 Volvo S60, as well as all new Volvo vehicles, comes with Volvo’s safe and secure coverage plan. The plan includes a five-year/60,000-mile warranty, five-year/60,000-mile wear and tear coverage (brake pads, rotors and wiper blades), five-year/60,000-mile complimentary factory scheduled maintenance and five years of unlimited mileage roadside assistance.
