U.S. News Names 2011 Best Car For the Money Winners
U.S. News, a publisher that focuses on college, grad school, hospital, mutual fund and car rankings, has revealed its list of 2011 vehicles that it considers the best for the money. U.S. News combined its rankings with five-year total cost of ownership data from TrueCar.com to determine the 2011 winners.
U.S. News Cars says its 2011 list of winners highlight vehicles that receive good reviews and provide lower than average ownership costs. The third annual awards were given to 18 vehicles.
"The most intriguing thing about the award winners is how diverse they are," said Jamie Page Deaton, managing editor for U.S. News Cars. "No single automaker has a lock on long-term value. In fact, there are a number of surprising winners that should be on the short list of any new car buyer."
